What we are asked most often, before starting a project.

How is Innowide different from a consultancy, an IT services firm or an engineering office?

Many can analyse. Others can execute. Few can unblock a subject that is still uncertain. Above all, we don't just advise: we design, prototype and test the technological building blocks that produce the evidence, in-house. We step in when the need is not yet stabilised, when several options coexist or when no clear path stands out yet.

Our role: turn an uncertainty into a concrete next step, without launching a heavy programme too early. Once everything is clear, you no longer need us.

What if we already have a strong innovation or R&D department?

That is usually where we create the most value. We step in as a complement when you need to accelerate a priority subject, bring credible external expertise or arbitrate between options. We amplify existing capabilities, without creating dependency.

How do you work with our teams without taking ownership away from them?

Your team keeps control. They retain the domain knowledge, the structuring decisions and the relationship with key stakeholders. We work alongside your teams, in a co-construction approach.

We strengthen the areas where uncertainty slows the project down: method, targeted execution, an outside perspective. We work within your framework and reinforce your legitimacy, never undermine it.

When does your work create the most value?

As soon as a project stays uncertain, slows down or lacks evidence to commit to the next step. In other words, when continuing to analyse becomes riskier than deciding. Typically:

  • a project stuck for several months;
  • an impossible trade-off between several options;
  • a strategic subject still too unclear to commit more resources.
Can we start without launching a heavy or exposed programme?

Yes. We favour progressive starts: a tight framing, a short proof-oriented sprint, a quick decision on what comes next. This lets you move seriously, with a controlled level of commitment and low political exposure.

What maturity level does the project need?

Nothing needs to be fully framed. We step in precisely when some critical points remain unresolved, typically between TRL 2 and 6.

Hardware, software or both?

Both. Software, electronics, sensors, mechanics and complex systems. We design as much as we build: prototyping and testing are done in-house.

What concrete results can we expect?

Depending on the case: months of hesitation avoided, a decision made possible sooner, a wrong path stopped in time. In concrete terms, you leave with tested technological building blocks and data to decide. Our role is not to add work. It is to make the next decision obvious.

How do you secure sensitive or confidential subjects?

We already operate in demanding industrial environments, multi-stakeholder and under strong technical and organisational constraints. The framework is clear from the start: contractual confidentiality, defined governance, appropriate management of intellectual property.

How do we justify this kind of engagement internally?

Often with three simple arguments: deciding faster, avoiding misdirected investments, securing a sensitive subject.
